My story

I'm not a fitness influencer. I'm a fighter who coaches.

Pro boxer. 5-4. Coach at Toe 2 Toe Boxing in Salem, Oregon. Everything I teach is what I do in camp.

Where it started

Every sport. Then wrestling. Then MMA. Then boxing.

I grew up playing every sport I could. Then I found wrestling. From wrestling I went to MMA, training at gyms in Alaska.

Then I started boxing, and that's where it clicked. Boxing is where I felt most accomplished. Nothing else I've done asks that much of you, or gives that much back.

Fight career

Pro record: 5-4.

I tell you the losses on purpose. I've had my hand raised, and I've walked back to the locker room knowing I came up short. Both made me the coach I am.

What fight camp actually looks like

People see the walkout. They don't see the eight weeks before it.

Camp is conditioning that holds up in round three. It's eating like an athlete, not like someone on a diet. It's making weight without losing the power you need on fight night. It's showing up when you don't feel like it, because the other guy is.

That's what my programs are. I wrote them down from what I do in camp, then cut them down so you can follow them around a job and a family.

Why I coach

I can't fight forever.

When I'm done, I want to have passed on everything I know so other people can find their own success. I'm not waiting for that day. I'm doing it now.

I coach four days of classes a week at Toe 2 Toe Boxing in Salem: fighters, people who want to get lean and strong, and people who've never thrown a punch.
